Death Takes
Mrs. Isely
Mrs. Ida Marie Isely, a
resident of the Lindsay district, for 36 years, passed away Friday night
at the Lindsay hospital. Mrs. Isely a native of Germany, was 76
years old.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Webb chapel,
with Rev. Charles P. Barkman, pastor of the First Presbyterian church,
of Lindsay, officiating.
Two songs, "Whispering Hope" and "A Perfect Day,"
favorites of the deceased, were sung by Mrs. W. S. Sulser and Mrs. A. L.
Evans. Interment was at Olive cemetery. A large concourse of
sorrowing friends assembled at the chapel, decked with scores of
bouquets and floral pieces.
Mrs. Isely came to Wisconsin from Germany in 1884. She was married
in 1889 to Jacob Isely at Monroe, Wis., and in 1892 moved to Sheldon, Ia.,
living there for 16 years. There first child was born in Wisconsin
and the rest of the children in Iowa. One son passed away at the
age of two and one-half years while residing there. [Editor's

came to the Lindsay district, where they have resided since, in 1908.
Surviving Mrs. Isely are her husband, Jacob Isely,
well known citrus,
olive and grape grower of the Lindsay district; three sons,
Ed Isely,
Will Isely and Ray Isely, all of Lindsay; three daughtrs (sic), Mrs.
Alice Golay of Fall Brook, Calif., Mrs. Elsie MacLennan and Mrs.
Verna
Poe of Lindsay, and 10 grandchildren.
